Size Guide

Every Hannah Daye piece is made by hand, so we want it to fit just right. Here's how to find your size at home. If you're unsure, ask us before you order. We're always happy to help.

Rings

Our rings are standard US sizes. Each ring shows the sizes we have ready to ship. Need a whole size that isn't listed? We can make it for you, usually in 3–4 weeks. Half sizes are also available as custom orders. Please measure carefully and get in touch.

Three ways to find your size

1. Measure a ring you already own (most accurate at home). Choose a ring that fits the finger you're shopping for. Lay it flat on a ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in millimeters. Find the closest match in the "Inside diameter" column below.

2. Measure your finger with a strip of paper. Cut a thin strip of paper about 1/4" wide. Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight, and mark where the paper overlaps. Lay the paper flat and measure from the end to your mark in millimeters. Find the closest match in the "Circumference" column. Use paper (not string).

3. Visit any local jeweler. Most jewelers will size your finger for free in a minute or two. It's the most reliable option if one is nearby.

Tips for a good fit

Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are warm. Fingers tend to be smaller in the morning and in the cold.

Wide bands fit more snugly. For our wider band styles, such as the Saturn, Oslo Band, and Brillante rings, consider going up a half size.

Check your knuckle. The ring needs to slide over it. If your knuckle is noticeably larger than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle.

Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.

Buying a gift? If you can, borrow a ring that the person wears on the same finger and use method 1 listed above. If a whole-size ring doesn't fit, you can exchange it for another size within 30 days of delivery.

Necklaces

Many of our pendants and chains come in several lengths. Here is roughly where each one sits on an average adult. Height, build, and neckline all make a difference, so if you're unsure, lay a piece of string around your neck at each length and look in a mirror.

Length	Where it falls
16"	At the base of the neck, close to the collarbone
18"	Just below the collarbone. The classic pendant length.
20"	A few inches below the collarbone. Sits nicely at an open collar.
22"–24"	Top of the chest. Easy over a crewneck.
30"–32"	Mid-chest. A long, relaxed layer that looks great over sweaters.

Layering tip: keep about 2" between chains, for example 16" + 18" or 18" + 20", so the pieces don't easily tangle.

Bracelets

Wrap a soft measuring tape or a strip of paper snugly around your wrist, just above the wrist bone, and measure it. Then add about 1/2" for a close fit or about 1" for a looser, more relaxed drape. That total is your bracelet length.

Size exchanges & custom sizes

Getting it right the first time is best. If you're between sizes or unsure, email john@hannahdaye.com or call 401-486-8955 before you order. A real person will help you, usually John.

Whole sizes, whether ready to ship or made to order: if your ring doesn't fit, contact us within 30 days of delivery and ship the ring back to us. You cover shipping to us, and we'll send you the right size with shipping on us. If that size isn't in stock, we will make it, usually in 3–4 weeks.

Why an exchange instead of resizing? Resizing a stone-set ring puts stress on the setting and can damage it. Therefore, when feasible, we choose to make you a new ring.

Whole sizes that not listed can be made to order in 3–4 weeks.

Half sizes are custom orders, made in 3–4 weeks. Like all custom orders, they are final sale.
